Start with the rooms
When a house cleanout makes more sense than separate pickups
A room list helps when unwanted belongings are spread through the home. Decide which spaces need clearing and which should stay untouched.
1
Several rooms feed one removal list
A chair in the living room, boxes in a bedroom and unused shelves can add up to one household job. List each room separately so a small visible pile does not hide the rest of the load.
2
You are leaving some belongings behind
A move-out does not mean every object goes. Name the furniture and household items you want removed, then mark anything that stays. Built-in fixtures and another person’s belongings should never be treated as part of an empty-room request.
3
A smaller home changes what you need
Keep the pieces you will use and make a separate removal list for the rest. We haul the agreed unwanted items; packing, transporting and setting up the belongings you keep are moving tasks, not part of this cleanout.
4
Stored contents need a closer look
Closets, an attic or a shed may hold more than the main rooms suggest. Tell us about those spaces before the visit, including narrow entries or uncertain footing. Do not climb into an unsafe space just to take photos.

Define the removal scope
A useful room list includes what stays
Walk through the rooms you want included and note furniture, loose household items and boxed contents. Show wider views as well as close-ups: one photo of the doorway can miss items behind it. Identify closets and outbuildings separately rather than assuming a whole-house request includes every storage space.
The amount to load, item weight and carrying route affect the estimate. Stairs, tight turns, parking distance and building access windows matter too. A photo estimate is preliminary; we confirm the scope and final price before loading. Our pricing guidance covers broader cost questions, while item acceptance guidance addresses materials needing special review.
Include these details in your request
Rooms and storage spaces included
Items to remove and items to leave
Stairs, doorways and parking access
Heavy items and uncertain materials
Access and finish
Clear the contents without confusing removal with cleaning
We lift and load the agreed items from their agreed locations when access is safe. You do not need to carry everything to the curb. Keep the route usable without moving heavy objects yourself, and tell us about blocked passages or unstable piles before anyone attempts to work around them.
House cleanouts cover routine household clearance, not stripping a property. Leave connected appliances, fitted cabinets and building materials out of the removal plan until their readiness and scope are reviewed. Report suspected mold, pests, hazardous containers or contamination without opening or disturbing them. Hauling is not demolition, utility work or remediation.
What the cleared space is ready for
After loading, we give accessible work areas a basic sweep and review the agreed removal with you. That removes loose debris from the work area; it does not include washing floors, scrubbing surfaces, repairs or a move-out cleaning standard. Plan any separate cleaning or repair work around that limited finish.

From the first call to the cleared space
We agree on the items, access and price before loading. Here’s how we work through a pickup or cleanout.

Illustration of a discussion about items to remove.
1
Step 1
Tell us what needs to go
Describe the items and where they are. Photos help show the amount and condition; mention stairs, parking or a building access window.
2
Step 2
Confirm the scope and price
We review the items and access, then confirm the work and final price with you before loading. A photo estimate is preliminary.
3
Step 3
Let us lift and load
We remove the agreed items from the agreed location with safe access. Keep belongings outside the removal scope clearly separate.
4
Step 4
Check the cleared area
We finish with a basic sweep of accessible work areas. Review the space with us; deep cleaning, repairs and restoration are not part of that finish.
Keep decisions visible
An undecided item should not enter the load
Use clear keep and remove labels before work starts. Put undecided items with the keep group until you choose; an open box or empty-looking drawer is not permission to discard its contents.
A routine household clear-out differs from an estate cleanout with sensitive keepsake decisions or a rental property cleanout directed by a landlord. Tell us which situation applies so we can review the right scope.

House cleanout questions before you book
These details can change how you prepare and approve the job. Raise them with your room list rather than leaving them for loading day.
Check them for anything you intend to keep before approving the furniture for removal. Papers, keys and small personal items are easy to miss. Tell us about contents you want included instead of assuming a drawer is empty. We do not provide secure document shredding or certified data destruction.
Ask us to review a phased scope if you need to clear only part of the home first. Identify the rooms and items for each proposed visit, along with access and timing limits. More than one load or visit may be needed; a room count alone does not establish capacity, price or a completion date.
Have us review the added room before its contents are loaded. Extra items or a different carrying route can change the work and price. Confirm any revised scope and price first rather than treating the earlier quote as approval for everything left in the house.
Eligible items may be considered for donation, but acceptance is not assured. Condition and receiving organizations’ rules determine the options. Tell us which items you hope to donate before confirming removal; do not count on a donation receipt, a particular recipient or every item being reused.
An authorized person can coordinate the request, but they need clear instructions about what may be removed and who can approve changes. Arrange that contact before the visit. Do not include another person’s property without permission, and ask us to confirm any attendance or access arrangement rather than assuming unattended pickup.
